In the beginning of September 2009 JAS in Dubai was contacted by a motor company who needed assistance moving two Porsche racing cars from Sweden to Dubai for a competition.  The customer was finding it challenging to make arrangements to meet all their needs. JAS Dubai contacted JAS Sweden who immediately contacted the shipper and found a solution. 

Gothenburg is an airport that offers a few direct flights per week to Dubai by a pure cargo aircraft only.  As such the scope was relatively simple says Johan Bjorklund MD of JAS Scandinavia “We understood from the airlines that this request had been out for tendering for a few weeks already, but due to the good relationship JAS has with the carrier, the business was secured for JAS”.

 We needed to receive the cars as late as possible, but get them onboard the flight and shipped as soon as possible. The cars arrived the Landvetter airport noon on September 15th and were cleared through the DGM and then loaded on 2 pieces x 20’ platforms. The aircraft left our airport just after midnight on September 16th and arrived in Dubai at 09.00 local time same day. Upon arrival, JAS Dubai performed customs clearance immediately and the end customer could pick up the freight same day around noon.
