JAS Worldwide, Inc. and our subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “JAS”) respect your privacy. This Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we obtain and process, how we use the information, with whom we share it, and the choices available regarding our use of the information. The Privacy Notice also describes the measures we take to safeguard the personal information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices.
Multiple JAS entities may be responsible for the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Please see the “How to Contact Us” section below for further information on these entities.

We obtain certain personal information about individuals as described in this section.
When you use our website at www.jas.com or other online services that we own or control (collectively, the “Sites”), you may provide personal information directly to us in the following ways:
On the contact form on the Sites, we request your name, email address and country, the type of service requested, information on how you found us, and the subject and content of your message;
For our customers’ personnel, when your employer asks that you be given access to the JAS Customer Portal, you will be given a user name and password to sign in to the Customer Portal. When you are given access tothe Customer Portal, we will ask your employer for additional information to populate your profile in the Customer Portal, such as your name, title, email and postal address, and phone number;
For JAS employees and agents, we provide a user name and password to sign in to the JAS Team Portal; and
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we request your name, company name, country, phone number and type of subscription.
The information requested in the forms on our Sites varies. In most cases, an asterisk (*) indicates that the requested information is required. You may choose to provide additional information in fields that are not required.
When you create an account on our careers portal, we request your name, email address, country, and phone number. We will send a verification code to the email address you provided, which you will need to enter on the Sites to create your candidate profile. To create your candidate profile, we require additional information such as your postal address, a copy of your resume, a cover letter, transcripts, and certificates in support of your application. The information that you provide to us may include information about your nationality, date of birth, gender, residence, photograph, marital status and dependents if such information is included in your resume or application materials. In the U.S., you may voluntarily choose to provide your ethnicity, race, and veteran or disability status. To the extent permitted by applicable law, if you are offered a position with JAS, we may collect additional information to perform background checks, such as credit report information, identification information, address information (such as former addresses), and publicly available information.
For customers, suppliers, agents, and subcontractors, we obtain information about their personnel, such as name, title, email and postal address, company name, department, and phone and fax number. In addition, to help us comply with and enforce anti-corruption requirements and other legal obligations, we ask JAS agents, suppliers and subcontractors to provide additional information, such as (1) information about the company’s executives, directors, and shareholders, including their dates of birth, nationality, percentage of ownership in the company, and copies of their identification documents; and (2) names of and contact information for the company’s commercial and financial references.
In addition, individuals may choose to submit information to us: (1) in response to marketing or other communications, (2) through social media, (3) by signing up for a product or service, (4) through participation in an offer, program or promotion, (5) in connection with an actual or potential business relationship with us, or (6) by giving us a business card or other information at a trade show or other event.
When you interact with our Sites, we obtain certain information by automated means, such as cookies, web server logs, web beacons, and other technologies. A “cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. A “web beacon,” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server.
We use these automated technologies to collect information about your equipment, browsing actions, and usage patterns. The information we obtain in this manner may include your device IP address, identifiers associated with your devices, types of devices connected to our services, web browser characteristics, device characteristics, language preferences, referring/exit pages, clickstream data, and dates and times of visits to our Sites. These technologies help us (1) remember your information so you will not have to re-enter it; (2) track and understand how you use and interact with our products and services; (3) tailor the products and services around your preferences; (4) measure the usability of our products and services and the effectiveness of our communications; and (5) otherwise manage and enhance our products and services.
Your browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies or how to restrict or disable certain types of cookies. Please note, however, that without cookies which are necessary for providing our products or services, you may not be able to use all of the features of our Sites. For mobile devices, you can manage how your device and browser share certain device data by adjusting the privacy and security settings on your mobile device.

Our Sites are not designed to respond to “do not track” signals received from browsers.
We use the information we obtain about you to perform our contract with you, including to:
Provide our products and services to you;
Establish and manage your account and profile;
Manage the contractual relationship we have with your organization;
Process orders and billing inquiries in connection with our products and services and keep you informed about the status of your order; and
Provide customer support services.
We also use the information we obtain based on our legitimate interests, including to:
Operate, evaluate, develop, manage and improve our business (including operating, administering, analyzing and improving our products and services; conducting research and developing new products and services; managing and evaluating the effectiveness of our communications; performing accounting, auditing, billing, reconciliation and collection activities and other internal functions);
Perform analytics (including market research, trend analysis, financial analysis, and anonymization of personal information);
Protect against, identify and prevent fraud and other criminal activity, claims and other liabilities;
Send you promotional materials, newsletters, surveys and other communications about our products and services; to the extent required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent to send you electronic marketing communications; and
Conduct investigations and comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards, and our policies and terms.
When we process personal information for our legitimate interests, we take appropriate measures to ensure that the interests we pursue are balanced with your interests, rights and freedoms, about which we will provide more information upon request.
When you submit information to us in connection with a career opportunity, we process that information to take pre-contractual steps at your request and to manage career opportunities at JAS, including for recruitment purposes (such as processing job applications and conducting background checks in accordance with applicable law), employee onboarding and other HR-related purposes.
We may use the information we collect to comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements to which we are subject, and for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in administrative or out-of-court procedures.
We also may use the information we collect about you in other ways for which we will provide specific notice at the time of collection and obtain your consent if required by applicable law.
We use third-party web analytics services on our Sites, such as Google Analytics. The service providers that administer these services use automated technologies to collect data (such as IP addresses) to evaluate use of the Sites. We may share your personal information with our affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and business partners. We also share your personal information with our suppliers and subcontractors who perform services on our behalf, such as our order fulfillment, data analytics, IT storage and support services, marketing agencies and recruiting services. Our suppliers and subcontractors are located around the globe, such as in the United States, EEA, and China. We do not authorize our suppliers or subcontractors to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.
If you are located in the People's Republic of China, according to the extent required by the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, we will obtain your separate consent before sharing your personal information.
In accordance with applicable law, we may disclose information about you (1) if we are required to do so by law or legal process (such as a court order or subpoena); (2) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (3) when we believe disclosure is necessary to fulfill statutory functions or statutory obligations; (4) when we believe disclosure is necessary to respond to public health emergencies or protect the life, health or property safety of natural persons under emergency circumstances; (5) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (6) otherwise with your separate consent.
We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution or liquidation).
We may transfer the personal information we collect about you to recipients all over the world and in countries other than the country in which the personal information originally was collected. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which the information initially was provided. When we transfer your personal information to recipients in other countries, we will protect that personal information as described in this Privacy Notice.
If you are located in the EEA or Switzerland, we will comply with applicable legal requirements by providing adequate protection for the international transfer of personal information. When we transfer information to data recipients in countries that have not been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection, including the U.S., we implement appropriate safeguards to help ensure that we protect that information as described in this Privacy Notice, including by entering into the European Commission’s EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the data recipient, or ensuring that the data recipient has implemented Binding Corporate Rules. If you are located in the People's Republic of China, we will obtain your separate consent before the international transfer of personal information and we will comply with applicable legal requirements by providing adequate protection. When we transfer information to an overseas data recipient outside the territory of the People's Republic of China, we implement appropriate safeguards to help ensure that we protect that information as described in this Privacy Notice, including by entering into a contract with the overseas recipient under the standard contract formulated by the Cyberspace Administration of China(if any), or ensuring that the data recipient has implemented the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China. We offer you certain choices in connection with the personal information we obtain about you. To exercise your choices, please contact us as specified in the How To Contact Us section of this Privacy Notice. You also may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in the communications you receive. We do need to send you certain communications about our products and services, and you will not be able to opt out of those communications. This includes, for example, information about billing.
If you are located in the EEA or in the People's Republic of China, you may: (1) have the right to access the personal information we maintain about you; (2) request that we rectify personal information about you that is inaccurate; (3) request that we erase personal information about you; (4) have the right to restrict our processing of your personal information; and (5) object at any time to the processing of your personal information on grounds relating to your particular situation and, in any event, to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
If you are located in France, you have the right to define the ways your personal information will be processed after your death.
If you are located in the People's Republic of China, you may additionally, request that we transfer your personal information to a personal information processor designated by you, which meets the conditions stipulated by the Cyberspace Administration of China and we will provide a way for the transfer.
Where you have consented to the processing of your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your prior consent at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us as indicated in the How To Contact Us section below. Subject to applicable law, you also have the right to receive, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, the personal information you have provided to us about you with your consent or based on a contract to which you are party. You have the right to have this information transmitted to another company, where it is technically feasible.
You may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country if you are not satisfied with our response to your request. To exercise these rights, please contact us as indicated in the How To Contact Us section below.
Subject to certain limits under California law, California residents may ask us to provide them with (1) a list of certain categories of personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, and (2) the identity of those third parties. To make this request, California residents may contact us as specified in the How To Contact Us section below.
Subject to certain limits under Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Chinese residents may ask us to provide them with (1) a list of certain categories of personal information we have disclosed to other personal information processors;(2) the name and contact information of the other processors; and (3) the purpose and method of processing. Our Sites may provide links to other online services for your convenience and information, and may include third-party features such as apps, tools, widgets and plug-ins (e.g., Facebook and LinkedIn). These online services and third-party features may operate independently from us. The privacy practices of the relevant third parties, including details on the information they may collect about you, are subject to the privacy statements of these parties, which we strongly suggest you review.To the extent any linked online services or third-party features are not owned or controlled by us, JAS is not responsible for these third parties’ information practices.
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.
We will keep your personal information for the time period necessary to achieve the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, taking into account applicable statute of limitation periods and records retention requirements under applicable law.
If you are a job candidate, we will keep your personal information for the time period necessary to complete the application process and the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Subject to applicable law, we may ask you if you would like us to keep your personal information to contact you about future opportunities.
JAS’ products and services, including our Sites, are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under the age of 13 or such other age as may be directed by applicable law. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under such age, we will promptly delete the information from our records.
The Company, its vendors, and/or the licensor of the Company’s time and attendance software will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from employees’ biometric data; provided, however, that the Company’s vendors and the licensor of the Company’s time and attendance software may be paid for products or services used by the Company that utilize such biometric data.

The Company will not disclose or disseminate any biometric data to anyone other than its vendors and the licensor of the Company’s time and attendance software providing products and services using biometric data without/unless:

Data Storage
The Company shall use a reasonable standard of care to store, transmit and protect from disclosure any paper or electronic biometric data collected. Such storage, transmission, and protection from disclosure shall be performed in a manner that is the same as or more protective than the manner in which the Company stores, transmits and protects from disclosure other confidential and sensitive information, including personal information that can be used to uniquely identify an individual or an individual’s account or property, such as genetic markers, genetic testing information, account numbers, PINs, driver’s license numbers and social security numbers.
This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our privacy practices. We will post a notice on the Sites to notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Notice and indicate at the top of the Privacy Notice when it was most recently updated.
